Business Agent & VP Emeritus John Latta
Currently serves as a business agent for the Local, John assists with grievances, disciplinary appeals, arbitrations, meet and confer situations with management, and is the primary contact for all Laguna Beach issues.
John is a charter member of the Executive Board and has served in one capacity or another since 1995. He has extensive experience in the areas noted above, as well as contract negotiations, and previously served as a State representative for the IAFF.
"My years as a union representative and as a professional firefighter have taught me that you have to work hard every day to protect and secure what you have gained or you will lose it," he says. "Protecting your rights and benefits has been, and will continue to be, my primary focus."
